Job summary

MRL Equipment Co. in Billings, MT is seeking a skilled Product Service Specialist to handle inbound calls, emails, parts support and service requests, diagnosing issues and guiding solutions using company databases and interdepartmental collaboration.

You will travel to dealer locations, provide after‑hours support when needed, review warranty eligibility, update customers on repair status, and assist with start‑ups.

Qualifications

• CDL license required.
• 5 years’ experience in vehicle/equipment service and repair with a combination of mechanical, electrical, controls, and hydraulics.
• A combination of education and field experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound customer calls, respond to emails, provide parts assistance, or respond to requests for service to diagnose and provide troubleshooting assistance.
• Record appropriate call details and actions in the CRM system.
• Conduct follow-up calls to ensure issues are resolved and escalate when needed.
• Review case information to evaluate warranty coverage and goodwill adjustments.
• Lead diagnostic efforts at dealer locations as needed.
• Educate customers on equipment startups and notify them of status updates.
• Identify potential mechanical/electrical/hydraulic issues and submit recommendations to engineering.
• Participate on on-call support and provide after-hours service.
• Maintain accurate records to support future issues.
• Coordinate travel and parts for field visits.
