Job summary

Light & Wonder, Inc. is seeking a field service technician for Buffalo, NY. In this customer-facing role you will perform preventative maintenance on VLTs and ETGs, ensuring proper operation through diagnostics, software settings, and testing.

You will review devices, complete incident reports, and maintain detailed logs. Responsibilities include travel to other facilities, adherence to safety standards, and working across 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain gaming licenses as required.
  • One year experience in assembly, testing, and repair of electronic gaming devices, or six months plus gaming school certificate.
  • Basic troubleshooting techniques to isolate and correct problems.
  • Knowledge of electricity, electronics, and mechanics of gaming devices.
  • Understanding of network communication and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly.
  • Able to use hand and power tools safely.
  • Basic PC operation and awareness of security risks.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read Light & Wonder schematics and service manuals.
  • Capable of independent conversions or installations with limited supervision.
  • Strong customer-relations skills.

  • Stay updated with field advisories and trainings.
  • Travel to other facilities as needed and work on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.

Position Summary THIS IS AN URGENT NEED IN BUFFALO, NY In this Customer facing role you will....

Responsibilities
  • Perform Preventative maintenance on VLT’s (Video Lottery Terminals), ETG’s (Electronic Table Games), and equipment, keeping in accordance with Gaming Commission and company standards and specifications.
  • Ensure proper operations of the VLT’s, and ETG’s via diagnostic tests, software settings, and functional testing.
  • Navigate Management Terminal (MT) daily to verify VLT status.
  • Where applicable, assemble and prepare accessories for installations per change order.
  • Complete accurate Incident Reports in accordance with the Gaming Commission and company standards.
  • Complete required maintenance records in a clear and precise manner.
  • Complete detailed daily/weekly tech logs.
  • Adhere to L&W’s Field Service established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Follow L&W's safety procedures (vehicle safety, loading games, ladder use, and electricity).
  • Ensures all tools and equipment used are kept in proper, safe, and working condition.
  • Stay current with all Light & Wonder Field Advisories and eLearning.
  • Review customer issues with management, and technical lead as they arise.
  • Travel requirements may include working at other facilities within our department.
  • Shift assigned may be 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, maintain a valid driver’s license, and be able to obtain and maintain gaming licenses as required.
  • One year experience in the assembly, testing, and repair of electronic gaming devices, or six months experience and related gaming school certificate of completion, or equivalent.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting techniques in isolating and correcting problems down to an assembly level.
  • Basic knowledge of electricity, electronics, and mechanics of gaming type devices.
  • Basic understanding of network communication, and network troubleshooting.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis for short distances.
  • Transport heavy equipment using proper moving devices.
  • Demonstrate safe and proper use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Basic knowledge of PC operation, and security risks relating to PC operation.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Ability to read and understand Light & Wonder schematics and service manuals.
  • Able to prepare conversion projects or installations with limited or no supervision.
  • Ability to maintain good customer relations, both internally and externally.
  • Basic knowledge of current Light & Wonder gaming devices to the assembly level.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Travel requirements may include working at other facilities within our department.
  • Shift assigned may be 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.

The pay range for this role is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour, with eligibility to receive other supplemental earnings such as over-time. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, specific work geography, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
