Job summary

Light & Wonder is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic gaming devices at customer locations in the Dover/Harrington area. You will perform preventative maintenance, run diagnostics, and ensure proper operation of EGMs and ETGs, while maintaining logs and reporting issues.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to travel, and comfort working in regulated gaming environments.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+, valid driver's license, able to obtain gaming licenses as required.
• Experience: 1 year electric gaming devices assembly/testing/repair, or 6 months plus gaming school cert, or equivalent.
• Basic troubleshooting to isolate problems to component level.
• Basic knowledge of electricity, electronics and mechanics of gaming devices.
• Basic network knowledge and testing.
• Able to lift 50 lbs regularly and travel to other facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on EGMs and ETGs per standards.
• Verify proper operation via diagnostics, software settings and tests.
• Navigate MT to verify EGM status daily.
• Assemble and prepare accessories for installations per change orders.
• Complete incident reports per Gaming Commission and company standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and daily/weekly tech logs.
• Follow Light & Wonder field service policies and safety rules.
• Ensure tools/equipment are safe and maintained.
• Stay up-to-date with field advisories and eLearning materials.
• Discuss customer issues with management and technical lead as needed.

In this Customer facing role you will....

• Perform Preventative maintenance on EGM’s (Electronic Gaming Machines), ETG’s (Electronic Table Games), and equipment, keeping in accordance with Gaming Commission and company standards and specifications.


• Ensure proper operations of the EGM’s, and ETG’s via diagnostic tests, software settings, and functional testing


• Navigate Management Terminal (MT) daily to verify EGM’s status


• Where applicable, assemble and prepare accessories for installations per change order.


• Complete accurate Incident Reports in accordance with the Gaming Commission and company standards


• Complete required maintenance records in a clear and precise manner


• Complete detailed daily/weekly tech logs


• Adhere to L&W's Field Service established standards, policies, and procedures


• Follow L&W's safety procedures (vehicle safety, loading games, ladder use, and electricity)


• Ensures all tools and equipment used are kept in proper, safe, and working condition


• Stay current with all Light & Wonder Field Advisories and eLearning


• Review customer issues with management, and technical lead as they arise

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age, maintain a valid driver’s license, and be able to obtain and maintain gaming licenses as required


• One year experience in the assembly, testing, and repair of electronic gaming devices, or six months experience and related gaming school certificate of completion, or equivalent.


• Perform basic troubleshooting techniques in isolating and correcting problems down to an assembly level


• Basic knowledge of electricity, electronics, and mechanics of gaming type devices


• Basic understanding of network communication, and network troubleshooting


• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis for short distances


• Transport heavy equipment using proper moving devices


• Demonstrate safe and proper use of hand tools and power tools


• Basic knowledge of PC operation, and security risks relating to PC operation


• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)


• Ability to read and understand Light & Wonder schematics and service manuals


• Able to prepare conversion projects or installations with limited or no supervision


• Ability to maintain good customer relations, both internally and externally


• Basic knowledge of current Light & Wonder gaming devices to the assembly level


• Good problem-solving skills


• Travel requirements may include working at other facilities within our department

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

College level electronics training helpful.
