Job summary

Riekes Equipment is seeking a Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair forklifts and other industrial equipment, keeping customers’ operations running smoothly. You’ll travel locally to service equipment, diagnose issues, and perform repairs with a focus on safety and reliability.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, customer service, and adherence to safety policies, with on-site work Monday–Friday and a strong culture of ongoing training and growth.

Qualifications

• Three or more years’ experience repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing material handling, automotive, heavy machinery, or diesel equipment preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in English.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, dock equipment, aerial lifts, compactors, and other industrial equipment.
• Identify and recommend items in need of repair.
• Provide superior customer service.
• Work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

Field Service Technician Duties:

As a Field Service Technician, you'll be trusted to keep essential equipment running safely and efficiently. Your work directly impacts our customers’ productivity.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, dock equipment, aerial lifts, compactors, and other industrial equipment


• Identify and recommend items in need of repair.


• Provide superior customer service.


• Work safely, following all safety policies and procedures.


• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Three or more years’ experience of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair is required. Previous experience diagnosing and repairing in the Material Handling, Automotive, Heavy Machinery, or Diesel industries is strongly preferred.


• Must be able to work one (1) week on-call every two (2) to four (4) months.


• Must be able to read and understand wiring and hydraulic diagrams.


• Strong communication skills required. Must be fluent in English. Bilingual skills are a plus.


• Competently use mobile phone and personal computer

• Valid Driver's License without recent major violations.


• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
