Job summary

SoloPoint Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customer sites in Wisconsin. You will coordinate onsite activities with plant personnel, electricians, and IT staff, and provide both remote and onsite technical service.

The role requires 1–2 years of field service experience, familiarity with Windows 10, basic networking, and PLC knowledge (Allen-Bradley). You will read schematics, assist in training customers, and work in dusty environments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience required.
• 1-2 years field service experience.
• Familiar with Windows 10 and basic networking.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (Logix5000, SLC, Compact Logix).
• Experience with XML edits and SQL database access.
• Knowledge of motors, VFDs, and analog circuits.
• Ability to read schematics and manuals.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, climb stairs, and work in dusty environments.

Responsibilities

• Project manage and coordinate onsite work with plant personnel, electricians, IT staff, and stakeholders for customer projects.
• Provide remote and onsite support for installed systems requiring technical service assistance.
• Assist in testing and training customers on custom end-user software.
• Initiate routine communication with customers to assess satisfaction and log follow-up actions.
• Perform software ladder edits, transfer files, and install updates using remote access tools.

• Familiarity with PC Operating systems (Win10) and basic networking.
• Prior experience with Allen Bradley PLC (Logix5000, SLC, Control and Compact Logix), XML edits, SQL Database file access/scripts, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of factory automation equipment such as motors, VFDs, and analog circuits.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently, climb stairs, and operate in dusty environments.
