Job summary

A leading automation service provider is seeking a Field Service Technician to troubleshoot and repair complex technical problems on industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical knowledge as well as strong communication skills. This position requires 100% travel from Monday through Friday. Field Service Technician

OVERVIEW

Our Automation Field Service Technician have strong communication skills, mechanical, and electrical knowledge to troubleshoot, repair, and test complex technical problems on industrial automation systems for our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installing software updating and programming PC base and PLC controls
• Connect and install all safety, switches, lights, sirens and make sure the operator understands them
• Assemble components to create one system
• Installation of wiring and mechanical modifications
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems
• Train customers on operations and maintenance.
• Prepare weekly expense reports and paperwork.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Working knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes
• Ability to use hand tools
• Ability to operate a computer
• Able to be comfortable working with heights
• This position is 100% travel Monday through Friday.
• Associates or technical degree preferred
