Job summary

Flagship Facility Services, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician I to join our Lab Services division.

This full-time role involves on-site calibration and repair at client facilities across the New England region, developing hands-on expertise and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Candidates should have at least two years of technical field experience and one year in a lab setting, with pipette calibration experience being required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years technical field experience with a track record of technical resolutions.
• Minimum one year laboratory related experience.
• Calibration experience in multiple disciplines; pipette calibration required.
• Strong time management and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations, repairs and validations of laboratory equipment to ISO 17025 standards.
• Troubleshoot issues with equipment using tools such as multimeters, thermometers, process calibrators.
• Complete all documentation associated with service orders.
• Develop calibration procedures meeting customer requirements while supporting traceability of measurements.
• Maintain all equipment and standards per SOPs.
• Other tasks as directed.

This full-time position as a field service technician requires you to perform on-site certification and repairs at our client's facilities in the New England region. The candidate will use their troubleshooting, repair, and calibration knowledge to complete the service and strive for total client satisfaction.

**Pipette calibration experience is required**

Essential Functions:

• Perform calibrations, repairs and validations of laboratory equipment to ISO 17025 standards.
• Troubleshoot issues with equipment using various tools such as multimeters, thermometers, process calibrators.
• Complete all documentation associated with service order.
• Develop calibration procedures to meet the customer requirements while supporting traceability of the measurements.
• Maintain all equipment and standards per SOP's.
• Other tasks as directed.

Preferred:

• HVAC experience a plus
• Working knowledge of NSF/ANSI 49, ASHRAE 110, ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001 and OSHA preferred, but not required

Requirements:

• Minimum (2) years technical field experience with a proven track record of technical resolutions.
• Minimum (1) year laboratory related experience
• Calibration experience in multiple disciplines (temperature, velocity, speed, mass, etc.). **Pipette calibration experience is required**
• Strong time management and task management abilities
• Able to effectively complete tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
• Small-to-large office environment.
• Fast paced work environment.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.
• Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products and noise.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Climb a ladder to perform repairs.
