Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform calibrations and preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment in the field and lab settings. The role requires traveling to customer sites, managing parts inventories, and providing timely reports to management while upholding GDP standards.

Qualified candidates hold a two-year science degree with up to 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in a related science field plus 0-1 years (FSE I) or 1-3 years (FSE II) experience.
• Experience calibrating pipettes and/or balances (FSE II).
• Ability to travel within territory; valid driver's license; clean driving record.

Job Description

• Perform calibration, preventative maintenance and repair both in the field and in the lab of various types of laboratory equipment including pipettes, balances, centrifuges and thermometers.
• Travel to customer sites to perform calibrations and PM’s as necessary.
• Manage personal parts inventory effectively.
• Provide feedback to Manager regarding any issue impacting service delivery, particularly issues impacting turnaround times.
• Complete administrative paperwork and reports promptly and accurately.
• Follow good documentation practices (GDP) as applicable to daily activities.
• Contact customers on time and schedule service efficiently.
• Adhere to environmental health and safety guidelines.
• Effectively communicate with clients and other internal and external parties.
• Follow Eurofins work policies and all applicable SOPs. Ensure that training on both remains current.
• Maintain client confidentiality, specifically if information about the customer is obtained from sources other than the customer (e.g. complainant, assessors).
• Act impartially within the management system.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.
  

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in a related science field (e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, electronic engineering, biotechnology, or similar) plus 0-1 years (FSE I) or 1-3 years (FSE II) experience in a related field, preferably as a Field Service Technician
• Experience in providing calibrations on pipettes and/or balances (FSE II).
• Physical ability to lift and transport equipment and perform tasks in various lab environments
• Clear, respectful, and timely verbal and written communication
• Experience with technical troubleshooting and problem solving
• Must be self-motivated and proactive
• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to travel within customer territory to 1-2 days per week Monday-Friday. Overnight travel as needed.
  

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm.

The pay range of this position is $27/h - $34/h depending on related experience and qualification.
