Job summary

Career Crunch is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repair of medical equipment across a ~2–3 hour radius of Palo Alto, CA. The role requires strong electromechanical knowledge, the ability to read schematics, lift up to 30 pounds, and travel about 40% overnight to client sites, where you'll install, upgrade, and train users.

You will support the sales team with service-related leads and build lasting customer relationships to drive service contract

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly preferred.
• Sales experience preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and push/pull up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, install, upgrade, and provide in-service training for medical equipment at customer locations, including medical facilities.
• Perform technical diagnosis and repairs, and prepare cost estimates for customer-owned medical equipment.
• Assist the Sales team in marketing company equipment through joint customer calls, in-services, sales leads, demonstrations, and trade show setup.
• Grow service contract revenue by selling new service contracts and renewing existing contracts.
• Complete and submit accurate service reports and documentation.
• Manage spare parts inventory.
• Travel daily to customer locations, with approximately 40% overnight travel required.

The Field Service Technician will provide preventive maintenance and repair services for client's medical equipment within an assigned territory, covering approximately a 2–3-hour radius.

This role requires a detailed understanding of electromechanical systems, along with the tools and processes necessary to complete service work. The selected Technician will focus on delivering high-quality equipment service and building strong customer relationships to drive growth opportunities.
