Job description

Position Summary:

$3000 sign-on bonus! 100% travel, occasional overnight on weekdays, home on the weekends! Phone, vehicle, per diem, credit card provided!

Can be located anywhere in the continental US.

MUST reside within an hour radius of a major airport.

Milacron is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team in support of our LPIM (Low Pressure Injection Molding) division across the US with the potential to travel internationally. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing quality installations, maintenance, and repairs of plastic injection/extrusion equipment. Breakdowns will require troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components and circuits.

Work You'll Do:

• Troubleshoot and repair plastic injection/extrusion equipment.
• Perform schedule preventative maintenance activities on equipment.
• Effectively interface with customers in repairing equipment as needed.
• Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.
• Install computer software programs to manufactured machines.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Team:

• This role will be part of the Aftermarket Service team and report directly to the Service Business Manager.

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate degree in industrial electricity, electronic engineering technology, or other related field, or combination of equivalent training and experience.
• 2+ years of experience working with hydraulics, mechanics, and/or similar skillsets.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as necessary.
• Possess an active driver's license and free of any restrictions related to driving offenses and based on initial and annual driver MVR reviews as defined by our fleet policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience working with plastic injection/extrusion equipment or similar types of equipment or machine tool.
• Mechanical, electrical, machining, and welding skills
• Ability to reach mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
