Arjo is seeking aField Service Technicianto provide preventative maintenance and repair services on Arjo’s medical equipment on-site at hospitals in an assigned section of Upstate-NY.

This role requires applying a detailed understanding of electromechanical systems and the tools and processes required to complete the work. Daily focus will be on high-quality equipment service and building customer relationships to drive growth opportunities.

The selected technician, working remotely, should reside in the Utica metro area to stay central to the hospital customers that require regular visits.

An Arjo vehicle will be provided, and all travel expenses paid by the company.

Day-to-day functions:

  • Maintenance, repair, installations, upgrades, and in-servicing at customer locations (medical facilities).
  • Technical diagnosis and repair cost estimates on customer-owned medical equipment.
  • Assist the Sales team in marketing company equipment (joint calls, in-services, sales leads, demo and trade show set-up, etc).
  • Grow Service Contracts revenue through service contracts and renewal of existing service contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety codes and procedures as mandated by company policy, customer requirements, and regulatory agencies.
  • Complete and submit accurate reports.
  • Manage spare parts inventory.
  • Daily travel to customer locations (medical facilities); 30-50% overnight travel.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. (Associate’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical field preferred)
  • Repair and maintenance experience with electromechanical equipment.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical assembly.
  • Training and/or certifications preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and push/pull 75 pounds.
