Job summary

Southwest ToyotaLift is seeking a Field Technician to travel to customer sites and perform mechanical repairs on forklift equipment. You will engage with customers, troubleshoot issues, and ensure repairs meet SW ToyotaLift standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 3–5 years of forklift technician experience, and a clean DMV record. You will drive company vehicles, document work orders, and uphold safety protocols in all tasks.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate.
  • Three to five years forklift/material handling technician experience.
  • Excellent driving record (as shown on current DMV report).

Responsibilities

  • Repair gasoline, LPG, electric or diesel-powered forklifts.
  • Make repairs as needed including replacing worn or broken parts, adjusting brakes, tightening body bolts, aligning wheels, etc.
  • Lubricate vehicle and perform other duties in connection with maintenance and operation of lift truck as required.
  • Perform manual labor such as heavy lifting and operation of power equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and escalate issues as needed.
  • Complete paperwork, as needed, to open work orders / close work orders accurately and in a timely manner to ensure appropriate processing and billing.
  • Keep van clean. Report any vehicle problems to your supervisor.
  • Practice safe work habits.

SUMMARYThe Field Technician is responsible for demonstrating exceptional customer service while conducting mechanical repairs and/or service to internal and external customers equipment.
