Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Repair gasoline, LPG, electric or diesel forklifts.
• Disassemble and overhaul engines, transmissions, clutches and other assemblies.
• Replace worn or broken parts and perform brake adjustments.
• Lubricate vehicles and perform related maintenance on lift trucks.
• Complete paperwork to open/close work orders and keep supervisor informed.
• Maintain a clean work area and practice safe work habits.
• May need to travel to customer sites with company van.
• Attend technical classes when offered as part of ongoing training.

SUMMARYThis position requires knowledge of general material handling equipment. Technicians must be capable of trouble shooting and providing repairs. Good knowledge of parts and the ability to determine if part needs to be replaced or repaired. Ability to write clear job recommendations and descriptions as well as ensure all paperwork is completed and given to the shop lead in a timely manner.Responsibilities:The following responsibilities are a general guideline and not intended to be an exhaustive list of the full scope of responsibilities.
