Southwest ToyotaLift is seeking a Field Technician in Anaheim, CA to perform mechanical repairs on forklift equipment at customer sites, ensuring service standards are met. The role emphasizes strong customer service, proper documentation, and safe operation of power tools and lifting devices.

Responsibilities

• Ability to professionally communicate with customers both in-house and in the field; and build strong relationships
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and write clear job recommendations and descriptions
• Repair gasoline, LPG, electric or diesel-powered forklifts
• Make repairs including replacing worn parts, adjusting brakes, tightening bolts, aligning wheels
• Lubricate vehicle and perform maintenance on lift trucks
• Perform manual labor such as heavy lifting and operation of power equipment
• Complete paperwork to open/close work orders accurately and timely
• Keep van clean and report vehicle problems to supervisor
• Practice safe work habits

The Field Technician is responsible for demonstrating exceptional customer service while conducting mechanical repairs and/or service to internal and external customers equipment. The position is primarily responsible for traveling to customer sites, representing the companys values and ensuring that their equipment is serviced to the standards of Southwest ToyotaLift

Responsibilities

• Ability to professionally communicate with customers both in-house and in the field; and build strong relationships
• Capability to trouble shoot mechanical issues and write clear job recommendations and descriptions
• Demonstrate knowledge of parts and the ability to determine if parts are needing to be replaced or repaired
• Repair gasoline, LPG, electric or diesel-powered forklifts
• Make repairs as needed including replacing worn or broken parts, adjusting brakes, tightening body bolts, aligning wheels, etc.
• Lubricate vehicle and perform other duties in connection with maintenance and operation of lift truck as required
• Perform manual labor such as heavy lifting and operation of power equipment
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and elevate issues as needed
• Complete paperwork, as needed, to open work orders / close work orders accurately and in a timely manner to ensure appropriate processing and billing
• Keep van clean. Report any vehicle problems to your supervisor.
• Practice safe work habits

Qualifications

• High school graduate
• Three to five years forklift/material handling technician experience
• Excellent driving record (as shown on current DMV report)
• Ability to drive company vehicle to customer sites.
• Ability to communicate clearly verbally and written
• Customer service attitude and aptitude
• Expected to attend technical classes when offered by management
• Appearance must be neat and professional

Physical Requirements

• Must be physically able to repetitively stoop, bend, push, pull, squat, climb, and kneel on a regular basis
• Must be able to physically operate power machinery, use hand tools, use air compressor tools, band saw and department grinder, steam cleaner and parts washer machines,
• Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds unaided
• Must physically able to operate / drive a company
