Responsibilities

• Visit client sites to diagnose and repair multifunctional office equipment.
• Set up and prep new copier/printer/scanner devices for installation.
• Provide network connectivity support to devices on client networks.
• Respond to service calls with courtesy and timeliness to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Manage tools and parts inventory in the vehicle; refurbish used equipment as needed.
• Maintain current technical knowledge and complete training per territory.

Field Service Technician

Budget Document Technology is an award-winning office technology provider throughout New England. We combine leading digital office technology with great customer service, to form a winning team.

We are seeking a Field Service Technician for our New Hampshire market team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of digital office technology, including copiers, printers and multifunction devices. Your expertise will ensure optimal equipment performance, minimize downtime, delivering exceptional customer support at client locations.

Ideal candidate will have strong technical fundamentals, software aptitude, demonstrate exceptional customer service, organization, and prioritization skills. Ability to work independently and within team environment.

Pay Range Depends on Experience

Essential Job Functions

• Visit client sites for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving maintenance/repair of multifunctional office equipment to include disassembly, cleaning and replacement of individual parts, reassembly, testing and adjustment
• Troubleshoot equipment to determine the cause malfunctions
• Set up and preparation of new copier/printer/fax/scanner equipment for install
• Provide Network Connectivity Support of devices on to client network environments
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction responding to service calls in a courteous and timely manner
• Manage inventory accurately for tools, parts and supplies in company vehicle
• Resolve at least 85% of service calls without assistance upon completion of training and territory assignment
• Maintain current technical knowledge and continuously expand knowledge of new technology
• Meet call quality and total calls per day expectations
• Perform in-shop repairs as necessary and refurbish used equipment
• Provide sales support as required including install duties
• Project a professional company image
• Assist with other duties as necessary
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving history. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is included in our technician background check.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods of time, pull, lift, squat, reach, bend, and stoop to equipment, parts, and supplies. Again, this is an extremely active position that requires walking, standing, squatting, bending, and driving for over 50% of the workday.
• Familiarity with networking IT skills a plus including certifications

Prior experience or educational background

Position combines the knowledge of electro-mechanical and IT related experience or educational backgrounds. Candidates with transferable technical skills from other industries are strongly encouraged to apply. We provide on-going manufacturer certified training.
