Job summary

Datamax is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair office equipment in Little Rock, AR. You will service multifunction copiers, printers, scanners, and document management devices, combining electromechanical repair with network troubleshooting to maximize uptime and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Managed Print Services (MPS) for Canon, Ricoh, Sharp, Kyocera, Konica Minolta, HP, Xerox, Lexmark or Toshiba devices.
• Basic networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DHCP, static IP, DNS, gateway, SMB, SMTP.
• Experience with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Windows Server environments.
• Ability to read service manuals, diagrams and technical documentation.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair multifunction copiers, printers, scanners, image quality issues, feed problems, and hardware failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and install replacement parts, calibrations and firmware updates.
• Analyze service history and error codes to identify root causes.
• Install and configure network-connected printers and devices, including drivers and network printing features.
• Collaborate with customer IT teams to resolve printing and scanning issues.
• Deliver exceptional customer support and technical guidance, communicate status and solutions.
• Document service calls accurately and manage service schedules.

About the Role

Datamax is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair office equipment, including multifunction copiers, printers, scanners, and document management devices. This role combines electromechanical repair expertise, network connectivity troubleshooting, and customer-focused service to ensure maximum equipment uptime and client satisfaction.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot, diagnosis and repair multifunction copiers, printers, scanners, image quality issues, print defects, feeding problems, and hardware failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and install replacement parts, perform calibrations, update firmware, and complete system configurations.
• Analyze service history, error codes, and customer-reported symptoms to identify root causes.

Network & IT Support

• Install and configure network-connected printers and multifunction devices such as print drivers, scan-to-email, scan-to-folder, and network printing solutions.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, static IP addressing, SMB, SMTP, and Windows print environments. Support Microsoft 365 authentication concepts and basic Active Directory environments.
• Collaborate effectively with customer IT teams to resolve printing and scanning issues.

Customer Service

• Deliver exceptional customer support and technical guidance by building strong customer relationships through professionalism and reliability.
• Communicate service status, expected completion times, and recommended solutions.
• Train end users on basic device operation and functionality.

Documentation & Inventory Management

• Accurately document service calls and manage service schedules efficiently.
• Maintain vehicle inventory and car stock levels.
• Follow company procedures for parts returns, warranty claims, and service reporting.

What you'll bring

• High school diploma or GED
