CONES Solutions is currently looking to expand our Service Team. We are currently seeking qualified applicants for a Field Service Technician position. Our service technicians are at the very core of what our company represents. They are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing customer commercial food equipment, providing preventative maintenance (PM) inspections, and responding to emergency service calls on equipment including but not limited to coolers, freezers, ovens, fryers, steamers, warmers, and dish cleaning equipment. Requirements

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Provide exceptional customer service in the field to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking, beverage, and refrigeration equipment
• Build working relationships with customers, vendors, and manufacturers to generate positive sentiment and subsequent growth and sales opportunities
• Continual skill growth through professional development and training opportunities
• Participate in the regular rotation of after-hours and weekend call duty
• Identify new customers and additional opportunities within existing accounts
• Collects for services rendered at the time of service for COD customers
• Order parts and complete required paperwork
• Maintain service vehicle
• Other duties as assigned

Job Expectations:

• MUST possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics
• Complete industry (CFESA) and manufacturer training in established time frames
• Ability to exert and lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds infrequently
• Ability to climb and work from a ladder, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, and grasp to perform essential job functions
• Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, meters, torches, and measuring equipment to perform service
• Dedication to working hard, being on time, and staying organized
• Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when necessary
• Excellent customer communication skills (written, typed & verbal)
• Be able to perform job duties in both varying internal and external environments that are subject to extreme heat and cold temperatures or inclement weather
• Maintain proficiency with information technology (phones, tablets, office applications, etc.)

Education, Training, and Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical certificate, associate degree in skilled trades, or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrable knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical skills

What Makes You Stand Out:

• Previous experience as a field technician in the commercial cooking & beverage equipment industry preferred
• CFESA certification preferred
• Up-to-date Iowa Mechanical License preferred
• Universal EPA Certificate preferred
