Job summary

Kelly Services seeks a Field Service Technician for the metro Puerto Rico region. Installs, maintains, and repairs biomedical equipment, trains customer staff, and analyzes failures to improve reliability. Travel within the island is required, and a vehicle plus monthly allowances are provided. Overtime and some holidays/weekends may be required.

The role emphasizes independent judgment, problem solving, and strong English comprehension alongside bilingual Spanish proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent with biomedical field experience, or related credentials and field service background.
• Biomedical equipment/field experience is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend English documentation.

Responsibilities

• Installs, checks out, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment.
• Provides guidance and training to customer personnel on operations and maintenance.
• Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action.
• Assists in design changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Implements preventive maintenance programs and maintains records.
• Participates in installation planning and evaluates device problems with management.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Biomedical field) plus 2 years of experience, or Associate degree (preferably in Biomedical field) plus 5 years of experience in a related field of service , or High school degree plus 5-7 years field service experience. Experience with biomedical equipment/field is required.

• Problem solving skills

• Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment.

• Bilingual: Spanish & Basic English. Ability to read and comprehend material written in English.

• Computer literate.

• Overtime may be required at times. May require to work some holidays and weekends.

• Willing to travel locations within the Island regions.

• Required to have own vehicle. (Fixed Monthly Car Allowance & Fixed Monthly Cellphone Allowance apply for this position.)

Job summary: Installs, checks out, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment. Provides guidance and training to customer personnel in establishing operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques. Analyzes equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action. Advice and assists in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce cost of operation. Devises and implements preventive maintenance programs and keeps performance and maintenance records on equipment. Participates in installation planning phase. Assists technologists and/ or management in evaluation of device problems, procedural issues, and documentation and quality issues.
