Job description

Forklifts of Michigan is seeking Full-Time Field Service Technicians at our Grand Rapids location, 7410 Expressway Drive SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49548. If you have wrenching experience and strong mechanical knowledge, whether on vehicles or other equipment, this role is for you!

Compensation ranges from $21 to $25 per hour, based on experience.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, first shift, with 40 hours per week and opportunities for overtime.

This role requires a valid, good-standing driver’s license. Forklifts of Michigan maintains a strict drug-free policy, requiring pre-employment drug screening, physical exams, and background checks.

Qualifications for Service Technicians include:

• Strong Mechanical Aptitude and Abilities
• 2+ Years Mechanical Repair and Maintenance Experience
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Enjoyment of Independent Work
• Proficiency with Technology such as Laptops or Tablets
• Valid Driver’s License
• Meeting Minimum Tool Requirements
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds for Lift and Move Functions

A Field Service Technician travels locally using a company van to perform repairs on various products, primarily forklifts.

Essential Functions include:

• Diagnosing and Repairing Equipment Breakdowns
• Communicating Needed Repairs
• Completing Work Orders Promptly
• Coordinating with Parts and Service Departments
• Maintaining a Clean and Stocked Work Van

• Interacting with Customers Professionally
• Following Safety Procedures per FOM Guidelines
• Attending Shifts Reliably and Prepared to Work
• Performing Additional Duties as Assigned
