Job summary

Jobot seeks a Permanent Field Service Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair food and beverage equipment in the field. The role combines technical work with customer service, requiring travel to client sites across the US and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, field repair, and preventive maintenance.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proficiency with electrical systems.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to explain complex issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on service equipment, including inspection, testing, and minor repairs.
• Respond promptly to service calls and perform necessary repairs or adjustments both in‑house and in the field.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to electrical systems and mechanical equipment, determining effective solutions.
• Document service and repair information and maintain a detailed record of work.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate technical information clearly to clients.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve complex issues and provide detailed problem/solution information.
• Keep up‑to‑date with industry trends, techniques, and tools to ensure high‑quality service.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• A high level of physical fitness, as the role may involve lifting heavy equipment and working in challenging field conditions.
• A valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel to different field locations.
• A technical degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred.
• Certifications in relevant areas, such as electrical systems or mechanical engineering, will be an added advantage.
