Job Summary

The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing equipment including forklifts, sweeper/scrubbers, and aerial lift equipment. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform both field and shop service work.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment issues using mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Inspect equipment using company diagnostic procedures to identify malfunctions
• Disassemble, repair, and replace defective parts and components
• Reassemble equipment and perform necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation
• Install, service, and repair equipment at customer sites
• Recommend major repairs or shop overhauls when necessary
• Maintain service truck inventory and communicate restocking needs
• Complete all required service documentation accurately and on time
• Participate in company-sponsored training to stay current with industry advancements
• Maintain company vehicles and operate them safely
• Represent the company professionally in appearance and conduct
• Support emergency breakdown coverage as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Ability to diagnose and repair technical equipment issues
• Basic math, reading, and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules as needed

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience servicing forklifts, sweeper/scrubbers, or similar equipment
• Experience with equipment installation, repair, and maintenance
• Completion of relevant manufacturer or vendor training programs preferred

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical or vocational training preferred
