Role Description

The Field Service Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dalton, GA. The technician will install, maintain, and repair waterjet systems and related components, including pumps, cutting heads, valves, tubing, and filtration units. Day-to-day tasks include performing diagnostics, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing scheduled preventive maintenance, and documenting all service activities clearly and accurately. The role involves traveling to customer facilities, providing technical guidance on proper operation and care of equipment, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely parts availability and service resolution. The technician is expected to follow safety procedures, uphold quality standards, and maintain a professional and customer-focused approach during all service interactions.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on industrial equipment, pumps, or fluid systems.
• Basic electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills, including reading schematics and using diagnostic tools.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, service documentation, and part diagrams accurately.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills to plan service calls and manage multiple work orders.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.
• Comfort with hands-on work in manufacturing or industrial environments, including adherence to safety protocols.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or associate degree in a related field (e.g., industrial maintenance, mechanical technology) preferred.
• Prior field service or maintenance experience in cutting, machining, or waterjet systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, problem-solve under time constraints, and maintain a customer-oriented mindset.
