Summary: The Garment Field Service Technician is responsible for providing both onsite and remote service for Cintas garment handling machines. Additionally, the technician will assist with installations within Reno, NV Territory.
- Provide both onsite and remote service for Cintas garment handling machines in the local region being recruited. Responsibilities to include mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, network connection and communication verification, machine and server software upgrades.
- Coordinate scheduled preventative maintenance visits with the Field Service Manager, End Customer and Cintas team.
- Coordinate scheduled and emergency troubleshooting visits with the Field Service Manager, End Customer and Cintas team.
- Provide onsite demonstrations and training for machine users, Cintas MAMs and SSRs, and end customers’ maintenance personnel.
- Assist in training and mentoring new team members both in the field and in our manufacturing facility.
- Assist in developing work instructions and implementing enhancements for our installation and field service program.
- Prepare service reports for all work done in the field and submit them to Cintas Engineering and the local Cintas maintenance team.
- Participate in installation during gaps in field service work.
- Prepare and submit expense reports for expenses accumulated while in the field.
- Make travel arrangements and manage an efficient travel schedule.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Travel Requirements
- Three (3) to Four (4) weeks per month with the majority of the trips not requiring an overnight stay. Some local preventative maintenance jobs may periodically require multiple overnight stays.
Qualifications/Skills
- Basic understanding of computer operating systems, networking, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Education And Experience
- High School Diploma required. Preference is to have diploma / degree in a technical field. Minimum of one-year experience as an Installation or Field Service Technician.
Language Skills
- Proficient in verbal and written English.
