Job summary

e3 Diagnostics is seeking a Field Service Technician (Sales & Service Tech) to support audiology equipment at customer sites across parts of NY and CT, with up to 80% travel.

You will perform calibrations, repairs, installations, and provide technical support while building strong customer relationships and coordinating with the office for scheduling.

Starting salary is $60,000 with commission eligibility after training and competency attainment, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two-year technical or engineering degree or related experience required.
  • Willingness to follow the guidelines in the e3 Proficiency and Certification handbook.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, plus sales ability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ANSI-certified calibrations, maintenance, repairs, and installations on audiology equipment.
  • Attend required training and stay updated on certifications.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships; provide service and technical support.
  • Coordinate scheduling with Office Administrator.
  • Maintain accurate customer and equipment records; identify sales opportunities to grow territory.
  • Travel up to 80% and work independently with minimal supervision.

e3 Diagnostics is seeking a Field Service Technician (Sales & Service Tech) to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted equipment expert for our customers—supporting their audiological instrumentation needs through new equipment solutions, technical repairs, and NASED-certified calibration.

Travel

This position requires regional travel to customer sites across parts of NY and CT including New York, NY, Poughkeepsie NY, Norwalk CT and New Haven CT and will require some overnight and weekly travel.

Compensation

Starting salary of $60,000, with commission eligibility after training and required competencies are met (typically after 6+ months).

Responsibilities
  • Perform ANSI-certified calibrations, maintenance, equipment repairs and installations on a wide range of audiology equipment.
  • Stay updated and attend all identified required training.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships; provide service and technical support.
  • Collaborate with Office Administrator for scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate customer and equipment records.
  • Identify potential clients and cultivate sales opportunities to support territory growth.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is completed according to best practice.
  • Travel up to 80%; work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Calibrate equipment received at regional office and coordinate returns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Travel
  • This role may require travel as much as 80% of the time.
  • Some overnight trips will be required.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and sit for long periods of time during a daily routine.
  • Physically able to drive a vehicle for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to Lift up to 50 pounds, bending and lifting throughout the workday.
  • Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and crouching depending on variables at customer location.
Pre-Employment Requirements
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clear driving record.
  • Clear background check including criminal history and education verification.
  • Must pass Drug Test.
