Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain heavy‑duty industrial equipment across MA, ME, Upper NY, NJ, and CT. This role requires extensive travel (75–90%) and hands‑on work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems.

You will perform PM and repairs, inspect components, document daily activities, and follow OSHA guidelines. The position offers $29/hr plus benefits, a company vehicle, and growth opportunities with ManpowerGroup.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years in manufacturing or industrial maintenance; hydraulics and pneumatics experience required.
  • Vocational training or technical degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and scheduled repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment (press brake, shears, automated machinery).
  • Diagnose malfunctions using diagnostic equipment and schematics.
  • Inspect parts with precision measuring tools and assist with installation/start-up of new equipment.
  • Record daily activities in maintenance software and reports.
  • Adhere to OSHA and company safety guidelines.

Field Service Technician – Willingness to travel 75-90%

Our client is looking for hardworking, a motivated Field Service Technician (Press Brake/Shears) to join their team. This individual will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of heavy-duty industrial equipment. They should specialize in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems that are core to manufacturing. Areas supported: MA, ME, Upper NY, NJ, & CT!

What will you be doing?
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance (PM) and scheduled repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, such as press brake, shears, and automated machinery.
  • Diagnose malfunctions and operating errors, utilizing diagnostic equipment and schematics to get machinery running safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect individual parts and assemblies using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, and gauges).
  • Assist with the installation, start-up, and fine-tuning of new equipment.
  • Record daily activities using maintenance software and digital reporting tools.
  • Strictly adhere to OSHA and company safety guidelines.
