Job summary

Contract Professionals, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, repair, and maintain large-scale industrial press equipment across North America. The role requires hands-on hydraulic troubleshooting and the ability to work at customer sites.

You will troubleshoot hydraulic systems, read schematics, service cylinders and pumps, and provide clear service reports. Travel and weekend on-call may be required; strong communication and safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of field service, machine building, or industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong hydraulic troubleshooting experience is required.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing hydraulic components and control systems.
  • Ability to work independently in customer environments.
  • Valid driver's license and valid passport.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and assemble heavy industrial press equipment at customer sites
  • Diagnose and repair complex hydraulic systems, including cylinders, pumps, valves, manifolds, and hydraulic circuits
  • Perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and limited electrical troubleshooting
  • Support equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and recommend repairs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, hydraulic schematics, electrical drawings, and bills of material
  • Identify service, repair, and equipment upgrade opportunities
  • Complete accurate service reports and documentation
  • Provide emergency on-call support, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service

Field Service Engineer – Industrial Press Equipment

Pay: $35–$45/hour (based on experience)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Field Service Engineer with strong hydraulic troubleshooting experience to support the installation, repair, and maintenance of large-scale industrial press and forming equipment throughout North America. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically skilled professional who enjoys travel, solving complex equipment issues, and working directly with customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and assemble heavy industrial press equipment at customer sites
  • Diagnose and repair complex hydraulic systems, including cylinders, pumps, valves, manifolds, and hydraulic circuits
  • Perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and limited electrical troubleshooting
  • Support equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance
