Job summary

DNOW is seeking a Field Service Technician in Austin, TX to deliver on-site service, install, repair, and test equipment, and provide timely service reports. You will manage schedules and work with the technical team to meet customer needs.

The role requires strong communication, troubleshooting skills, and flexibility to work various shifts. You will build lasting customer relationships and contribute to satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
• Tie workflow to schedule and manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks.
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions on equipment.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports and document processes.
• Operate vehicle safely and follow field procedures; share information with the tech team.
• Build positive relationships with customers.

A Field Service Technician who is a self-starter that will deliver the desired customer service experience. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention, and increases profitability.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatchesTie workflow to scheduleManage all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasksDiagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions on equipment.Produce timely and detailed service reportsDocument processesOperate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systemsFollow all company’s filed procedures and protocolsCooperate with technical team and share information across the organizationComprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings within capabilities.Build positive relationship with customers

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High School diploma and/or equivalent in work experienceExcellent interpersonal skills, proficient in oral and written communicationsAssembly experience preferredBasic reading skills. Must be able to follow directionsAbility to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipmentAbility to perform work accurately and thoroughlyAbility to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or ideaAbility to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedulesFamiliarity with mobile tools and applications.
