Role Overview

The Rotating Equipment Specialist is a highly technical and experienced resource in compressor or turbine package components and the industry processes where the equipment is applied. Provides technical support to internal and external customers remotely and on site, focusing on driving customer satisfaction with compressor and turbine equipment to position the company as a trusted advisor in compression and steam power generation. This position reports to the Aftermarket Manager and is part of the Operations Department.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide remote and onsite support to external customers in training, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, performance verification, and process controls.
  2. Document and follow up on all customer technical requests.
  3. Support internal customers with technical guidance in sales solutions, submittal questions, technical clarifications, product performance verification, and field service support.
  4. Perform engineering functions for upgrade and service/maintenance contracts.
  5. Collaborate with Engineering to ensure latest product standards are applied.
  6. Maintain complex tools, test equipment, and calibration items.
  7. Perform root cause analysis for complex incidents involving compression and power generation.
  8. Engage in continuous education in compressors and steam turbines.
  9. Review complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics, providing guidance throughout tasks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical or electrical engineering or related fields.
  • Experience with compressors and/or steam turbines, engineering, field service, compressor design, or R&D for at least 10 years.
  • Experience in aeration for wastewater treatment and/or light gases compression in industrial processes.
  • Minimum 10 years experience with rotational equipment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to collaborate in a multicultural and cross-functional environment.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of ASME PTC 10 testing standards.
  • PLC and HMI programming skills (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon).
  • Knowledge of German or Spanish languages is a plus.
  • Steam turbine knowledge.
