Job summary

Astrophysics Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot X-Ray security inspection systems at customer sites. The role requires regular travel to the Calexico area, maintaining professional conduct, and delivering thorough service documentation and customer support.

A valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required. The position focuses on on-site installation, preventative and corrective maintenance, and customer training, with

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 2-7 years technical support or field service experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to travel to various work sites.
• Fluent in both written and verbal English.
• Eligible for and able to maintain a Secret-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, and preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Complete service documentation including reports, radiation surveys, parts requisitions, and expense reports.
• Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions and return parts as needed.
• Input and maintain data in service databases and proprietary software.
• Prepare equipment, parts, and documentation before arriving on-site.
• Update service headquarters on progress and status of calls.
• Deliver customer packages including warranty and survey reports.
