Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Field Service Technician to troubleshoot electro-mechanical problems, complete installations, and perform repairs and maintenance for customers. The role emphasizes professional customer interactions, accurate paperwork, and maintaining vehicles and tools.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of mechanical/electrical experience, and the ability to read schematics. A valid driver’s license and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; 1–3 years mechanical and electrical experience in a similar environment or equivalent training.
• Ability to read schematics and manuals.
• Excellent people skills and verbal communication required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical problems and perform installations and repairs.
• Provide scheduled maintenance and unscheduled service on customer equipment.
• Open/close work orders, document service repair narratives, and submit time/repair paperwork.
• Maintain tools and service van; follow safety guidelines and company policies.
