Job summary

DOC SERVICES is seeking an Electromechanical Field Service Technician. The role involves performing preventive and reactive maintenance, electrical and mechanical servicing, and working from home while responding to service calls across customer locations.

Technicians must read schematics, follow safety protocols, and document work details. Applicants should have at least two years of equipment repair experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Two years of equipment repair experience or combination of training and experience
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge; ability to read schematics
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and call management software
• Understand safety regulations related to equipment repair
• Strong organizational, detail-oriented, self-motivated
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record and proof of insurance
• Satisfactory background check required
• Professional appearance and conduct; positive attitude
• Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform billable maintenance, troubleshooting and servicing of equipment
• Comply with OSHA, customer and company safety regulations including PPE
• Respond to service calls within customer and company requirements
• Provide documentation via handheld device
• Perform cost-effective repairs while maintaining quality
• Seek technical support on-site to avoid delays
• Be reachable by phone for reactive service repairs as needed
• Order correct parts for repairs
• Maintain organized parts inventory for quick retrieval
• Arrive on time with tools, parts and safety equipment
• Travel to customer locations and perform inventory reconciliation
• Return parts promptly as instructed
• Evaluate preventable service issues and educate customers as directed by DSM
• Perform other duties as needed
