Job summary

BearCom is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems across multiple sites. You will create codeplugs, install equipment such as BDA/DAS, dispatch consoles, and ensure system reliability.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of service tech experience with Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, or Vertex equipment, plus strong RF knowledge and testing skills. Travel and on-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment in the 2-way radio wireless field.
• Strong understanding of 2-way radio theory and RF propagation across frequency bands.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Install and service wireless communications equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz systems, DAS/BDA, CCTV).
• Create mid-level programming codeplugs (12+ channels, trunking, multiple zones).
• Provide exceptional customer service and on-site technical support.
• Travel regionally and/or overnight as required; participate in on-call hours.
