Job summary

BearCom in Wheeling, WV is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems. You will be part of a team delivering top-tier service, with emphasis on customer satisfaction and technical excellence.

The role involves installing RF equipment, creating codeplugs, and advising on hardware selections to meet client needs. Occasional travel and on-call duties are possible.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of service technician experience in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing RF/electronics equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of 2-way radio theory and RF propagation across bands.
• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Experience with MS Office Suite and NIC programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and service wireless communications equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz systems, DAS/BDA, CCTV).
• Create mid-level programming codeplugs (12+ channels, trunking, multiple zones).
• Recommend equipment and hardware meeting customer requirements.
• Occasional regional or overnight travel and on-call hours may be required.
