Job summary

EBARA is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to perform on-site service, repair, and installation of company products at Boise, ID locations. The role covers system hardware, software, and networking support with a strong emphasis on customer service and safety.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnostics using schematics, documentation, and mentoring junior technicians. High School or Electronics-focused degree preferred; semiconductor/industrial experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service or on-site repair is preferred.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics.
• Strong customer-facing skills and professionalism.
• Willingness to work in a cross-cultural, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Service equipment at customer sites and service centers, including preventative maintenance, installations, and start-ups.
• Interpret operation manuals to determine root cause of tool failures.
• Document maintenance, downtime, issues, and prepare reports for product movement and justification for on-site service.
• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures using service maintenance checklists and protocols.
• Provide technical support to customers on operation or maintenance of system tool and/or equipment.
• Act as a customer contact on technical and service-related problems; mentor junior field staff.
