Job summary

Integra is hiring a Field Service Technician – Controls in Houston, TX. The role covers installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial generator systems with a focus on controls.

You’ll work independently in field environments, ensuring safe, reliable operation for customers. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, preparing reports, and coordinating with customers and project managers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
• 1–3 years of electrical or generator service experience.
• Knowledge of generator systems, electrical circuits, and control components.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, meters, diagnostic equipment, and wiring diagrams.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA 10 or other safety certifications preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial generator systems and control equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and load bank testing.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and operational issues and apply corrective actions.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, and field personnel to resolve service needs.
• Prepare service reports, work orders, and documentation of parts, labor, and recommendations.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies in field operations.
• Travel to customer sites and participate in on-call rotations.
