Job summary

The Senior Field Service Technician Generators at Integra Mission Critical, LLC in Dalton, GA is a senior on-site role responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of industrial generator systems. You will solve advanced electrical/mechanical issues, mentor junior technicians and ensure safe, reliable operation while delivering excellent customer service.

You will lead diagnostics, perform load bank testing, coordinate with customers and project teams, document work

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 5 years of generator service experience incl. controls.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites.
  • OSHA NFPA or ASE training preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of generator systems, electrical controls and mechanical components.

Responsibilities

  • Lead installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance and repair of complex generator systems.
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical and operational issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Conduct load bank testing and performance verification.
  • Serve as a technical resource, mentoring junior technicians and providing training.
  • Plan, prioritize and execute multiple service calls or projects independently.
  • Collaborate with customers, project managers and engineering teams to resolve needs.

The Opportunity

The Senior Field Service Technician Generators is a highly skilled field professional responsible for advanced installation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of industrial generator systems This role requires independent problem solving advanced technical knowledge and the ability to mentor and guide junior technicians The senior technician ensures equipment operates safely reliably and efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service

What you will do
  • Lead installation commissioning preventive maintenance and repair of complex generator systems and related control equipment
  • Diagnose advanced electrical mechanical and operational issues performing root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Conduct load bank testing system inspections and performance verification to ensure optimal generator operation
  • Serve as a technical resource for junior technicians providing guidance mentorship and training
  • Plan prioritize and execute multiple service calls or projects independently ensuring timely and efficient completion
  • Collaborate with customers project managers and engineering teams to resolve complex service needs and provide expert technical support
  • Maintain detailed and accurate service documentation including work performed parts used and recommendations for preventive maintenance
  • Ensure strict adherence to electrical codes safety regulations and company policies
  • Participate in on call rotations and provide technical leadership during emergency service situations
  • Identify opportunities for process equipment or procedural improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Industrial Technology or related field preferred
  • 5 years of experience in generator service controls or related electricalmechanical field including prior mentoring or leadership experience
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to customer sites
  • Relevant certifications such as OSHA NFPA ASE or manufacturer specific training preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of generator systems electrical controls and mechanical components
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools meters schematics wiring diagrams and technical manuals
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes OSHANFPA standards and industry best practices
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments including outdoor industrial and confined spaces
