Job summary

ORR Protection in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Field Service Apprentice to train as a Fire Alarm technician. You will participate in a formal training program, handle routine inspection and testing tasks, and gain hands-on field experience installing and commissioning systems.

This remote position is deployed from your home to local job sites, requires lifting up to 75 lbs, occasional overnight travel up to 25%, and a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• Associate degree or certification in low-voltage electricity or related field, preferred.
• Military fire protection experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection and testing tasks according to OPS work instructions.
• Test and clean smoke detectors.
• Test manual pull stations and other initiating devices.
• Test other system inputs and outputs.
• Test and verify audio visual components.
• Inspect and measure weight of agent storage containers.
• Record inspection and test results in the company's electronic inspection program.
• Assist in installation and commissioning tasks with supervision.
