Job summary

OWL Services is seeking a Field Service Technician in Madison, WI to install and service electronic equipment including security point of sale and EV charging stations. This full-time role requires hands-on electrical and mechanical skills and the ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting devices, performing maintenance, reviewing manuals, and coordinating with customers to complete requests promptly while upholding safety standards. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• One+ years’ experience working in an electrical capacity is preferred.
• Must be able to work independently and be a strong problem-solver.
• Strong attention to safety and willingness to follow all safety protocols.
• Must be able to travel up to 30-40% overnight.
• Experience with Verifone/NCR POS systems a plus.
• Experience with Alarms a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, inspects, replaces/repairs a wide variety of electro‑mechanical devices such as cash registers, coin changers, security equipment, alarms, and point of sale equipment.
• Manage various EV charger testing requirements such as torque, thermal imagery, insulation (megger) and performance reports.
• Locate system performance issues and fix ground faults.
• Complete service requests and maintenance repair items in a timely manner and ensures all requests are handled in a professional manner.
• Correctly review work orders, manuals, and drawings to properly perform maintenance and service of equipment.
• Utilize various testing devices, multiple hand and power tools related to the job.
