Job summary

Tech Systems, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Field Service Technician for Commercial Security Systems to repair, install and maintain access control, video security, intrusion, and intercom systems for client sites.

You will respond to service calls within your area, read blueprints, install according to standards, and coordinate with customers and internal teams. A valid driver’s license and two years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience in commercial security systems installation or service.
• Networking skills and one year experience programming access and video systems.
• Factory or internal security system certifications to work independently.
• Strong computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook; knowledge of IP systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls within the assigned area and restore systems to full functionality.
• Install systems according to Tech Systems Installation Standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Update tickets in service/project tracking system and communicate with Customer Service.
• Accurately account for company inventory and resources.
• Perform system Preventive Maintenance inspections per policy.
• Attend to other duties as assigned by management.
