Job summary

Nvenia in Wood Dale, IL seeks a Field Service Technician to deliver lifecycle management for packaging machinery. You will install, start up, commission, maintain, repair, audit, and train customers, traveling to sites as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or associates in Mechatronics preferred; related electrical/electronics degrees a plus.
• Minimum five years’ field experience troubleshooting electro‑mechanical machinery.
• Travel up to 80% with overnight stays; customer-facing role requiring clear communication.
• PLC integration experience and servo drive configuration are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and repairs at customer sites.
• Modify mechanical/electrical installations and program PLCs/servos as needed.
• Train customer personnel on operation, safety, and basic maintenance.
• Document activities accurately and provide feedback for product improvements.

One name, in one location, with one shared focus: our customers and the problems we need to solve.POSITION SUMMARYThe Field Service Technician is responsible to deliver total equipment lifecycle management services that optimize the performance of OEM equipment throughout its entire life cycle. These services include installation, start-up/commissioning, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, audits and training. The Field Service Technician travels to customer sites to perform planned services, troubleshoot issues, make repairs, recommend spare parts and provide upgrades/modernization.
