Job summary

Crete United is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to lead and coordinate daily HVAC field operations in Davenport, IA. This on-site role requires hands-on technical leadership, scheduling mastery, and a focus on safety and service quality.

You will mentor technicians, review service work, and ensure accurate documentation while driving efficiency and customer satisfaction across commercial and industrial projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Iowa HVAC License or ability to obtain within probation.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and support daily field service operations for HVAC systems.
• Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to service technicians.
• Oversee service calls, preventive maintenance, installations, and warranty work.
• Coordinate technician schedules, workloads and priorities to meet customer needs.
• Monitor progress, service quality, labor efficiency, and safety standards.
• Assist with diagnosing HVAC and refrigeration systems including chillers, boilers, RTUs, VRF, and VAV.
• Communicate with customers, project managers, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain relationships.
• Mentor technicians through on-the-job training and feedback.
• Ensure accurate service documentation and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Job Duties

• Lead, coordinate, and support daily field service operations for commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
• Provide hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to service technicians on complex repairs and equipment issues.
• Oversee service calls, preventive maintenance, equipment installations, and warranty work to ensure quality and timely completion.
• Coordinate technician schedules, workload assignments, and service priorities to meet customer needs.
• Monitor job progress, service quality, labor efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
• Assist with diagnosing complex HVAC and refrigeration systems, including chillers, boilers, RTUs, VRF, and VAV systems.
• Communicate with customers, project managers, and internal teams to resolve service issues and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Mentor and develop technicians through on-the-job training, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
• Ensure accurate service documentation, work orders, equipment records, and reporting.
• Help identify opportunities to improve service efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall department performance.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC service experience, including experience providing technical leadership or mentoring technicians.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Iowa HVAC License, or the ability to obtain one within the probationary period.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug screening.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead field personnel while maintaining a hands-on approach to technical problem-solving.

Preferred

• Previous experience as a Field Service Supervisor, Lead HVAC Technician, or Senior Service Technician.
• Experience supporting educational, commercial, or industrial facilities.
• Familiarity with chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, burners, RTUs, VRF, and VAV systems.
• OSHA 10 certification or higher.
• OEM certifications from manufacturers such as Trane, Carrier, Daikin, or similar.
• Experience coordinating technician schedules, reviewing service reports, and improving field service performance.
