Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Field Service Specialist in our Paper Machine Wet End group within NA Services. You will travel across North America to support customers, start up machines, and test equipment for delivery in North America.

You may travel overseas for targeted projects and engage in on-site or remote troubleshooting to keep customer operations running at peak performance. A strong mechanical/electrical background and willingness to learn in a dynamic environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
• Hydraulic & pneumatic background a plus
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Strong PC skills

Join our team now and ap ply your expertise as a Field Service Specialist in our Paper Machine Wet End group.You'll be part of our NA Services team and play a crucial role in supporting our customers’ operations by ensuring their equipment is running at optimum levels. You'll work with cutting edge technology and tools to support the performance of the large-scale papermaking equipment at our customers' facilities located across North America. You may even have the ability to travel overseas to support targeted projects, participate in machine start ups, or assist in testing customer equipment to be delivered in North America.On a day-to-day basis you might be traveling to the customer site to deliver critical hands-on support, or you might provide remote troubleshooting assistance from our offices. At times you may also be supporting others in the field while you research and prepare for your own service calls. In the end, our goal is to provide the highest level of commitment and service to our customers in order to move their production and performance forward.Our focus is on finding individuals with a strong background in mechanical experience. Strong mechanical skills but no previous work in the paper industry. We're willing to train and work with the right candidate.
