Job summary

SGB-SMIT USA is seeking technicians and engineers to interpret customer and sales technical documents, quotations, and service requests, applying data directly to tasks. You will travel to job locations for testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ensure compliance with IEEE, NETA, NEMA, NEC standards.

The role requires 5–7 years OTJ experience in Power systems protection and controls, or equivalent military or engineering training, and a hands-on, safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED REQUIRED.
• 5–7 years OTJ experience in Power systems Protection and controls.
• Equivalent Military training plus proven OTJ experience in Power System Protection and controls.
• University/College 2–4-year Engineering Technology plus related Power System Protection experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting customer and sales submitted technical documents, quotations, and service requests and applying that data directly to the quoted task at hand.
• Communicating technical information clearly and concisely to management and customers.
• Travel to job locations, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and properly applying pertinent technical and safety standards to the assigned work (IEEE, NETA, NEMA, NEC).
• Creating test reports and summaries of work completed.
• Assist in training service technicians in basic protective relay and control systems.
