Job summary

RMS Energy seeks Field Service Technicians to perform testing, maintenance, and commissioning of power systems at sites nationwide. You’ll work with relays, transformers, breakers, SCADA, and more, traveling to client locations and ensuring safety and quality on every assignment.

The role demands 0–1 years of power testing experience, NFPA 70E/OSHA knowledge, and ability to read schematics. Expect rigorous field work with substantial travel and hands-on learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 0–1 years experience in power systems testing or commissioning.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E, OSHA 1910.269 and field safety standards.
• Able to read schematics and one-line diagrams.
• Valid driver's license; willingness to travel up to 75%.
• NETA Level II certification preferred or actively pursuing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Able to lift 50+ lbs; comfortable outdoors, heights, confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Test, maintain, and collect data on HV/LV systems in field.
• Run standard field tests (TTR, insulation resistance, PF, etc.).
• Test relays and troubleshoot control circuits.
• Support commissioning activities and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Read and interpret schematics and one-line diagrams.
• Communicate with customers on-site and provide updates.
• Keep reports, logs, and calibration records up to date.
