Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller’s BW Converting division in Green Bay, WI seeks a Service Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute large field service projects. You will be the primary contact for customers, internal teams, and contractors, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget adherence.

The role oversees project financials, resource planning, and warranty support, driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction across multiple departments. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in capital equipment manufacturing, engineering, sales, or field service management.
• Or an associate degree/certificate with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven project management experience for complex technical service projects.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Experience with XA, Infor CRM, and CPQ systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of field service projects, including equipment installations, maintenance programs, and warranty activities.
• Manage project financial performance from quotation through invoicing, including budget tracking and collection support.
• Define project scope, prepare service estimates, and communicate requirements to resources.
• Select, negotiate, and manage contractors with oversight and coordination.
• Coordinate staffing, travel, parts availability, and third-party resources for project execution.
• Review and approve service labor, expenses, and reports with regular status updates.
• Lead IPS sessions and ensure safety requirements, site acceptance testing, and issue resolution.
