Job summary

AVL in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Field Service Coordinator to support the Service Manager and our field teams. You will coordinate travel, logistics, and resources to keep projects on schedule and ensure clear internal communication.

Key duties include tracking shipments, maintaining inventory and service fleet records, and providing administrative support. Strong organization, attention to detail, and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a coordinator, administrative, or logistics role, preferably within a Operations, Manufacturing or site construction environment.
• 2+ years of experience in a Project Coordinator Role would be preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) and experience working with Visual MFG. ERP or other related software. Knowledge of Power BI is considered a strong asset.
• Basic understanding of supply chain logistics, operational efficiency, and material management is required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Detail-oriented approach to effective cross team communication, managing documentation, tracking progress, and ensuring accuracy in reports and financial submissions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate travel logistics for field teams, including hotel bookings and B1 documentation.
• Plan, track, and manage shipments of materials and parts with the service team.
• Maintain situational awareness across active field deployments and report to Service team.
• Inventory, fleet, and material management; restocking and requisition support.
• Provide administrative support to Field Service Manager and PMs.
• Track deficiency list progress and report to AVL Service Project team.
• Field crew mobilization accuracy and on-time deployment.
• Deficiency aging and resolution timelines.
• Fleet readiness and compliance.
• Timecard accuracy and submission compliance.
• Travel and logistics cost tracking vs budget.
• Escalate schedule risks, safety concerns, or customer conflicts.
