Herc Rentals Inc. is seeking a Field Service Mechanic B- Pump, Power & HVAC in Richland, MS. The role focuses on preventive maintenance and on-site repairs to keep Herc fleet in peak condition on customer jobsites.

The position requires reading schematics, using a range of tools, and operating heavy equipment with on-call availability. Excellent safety practices and customer service are essential for success in this field.

Qualifications

Highschool diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read technical schematics and manuals.
Own a set of hand and air/electric tools.
Able to operate boom lifts, forklifts, generators and pumps.
Valid driver's license and on-call readiness.

Responsibilities

Maintain a consistent schedule of preventive maintenance on Herc-owned fleet at long-term customer sites.
Oversee oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and related services.
Diagnose and repair heavy equipment to ensure proper operating condition at job sites.
Diagnose and troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic and propane systems.
Recondition and replace parts to restore safe operation.
Educate customers on proper equipment use to avoid future breakdowns.
Analyze wear and tear and address issues until next visit.
Follow safety guidelines at active job sites and keep work area clean and organized.
Produce timely service reports and repair logs.
