Herc Rentals is seeking a Field Service Mechanic A to lead in knowledge sharing and ensure Herc fleet remains in peak condition on customer jobsites. You will operate independently, manage maintenance and repairs, and build strong customer relationships while contributing to community growth.

This role requires hands-on expertise with heavy equipment, hands-on tools, and a commitment to safety and quality on each site visit. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, generators, hydraulics, pumps.
• Ownership of hand and air/electric tools for repairs and service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a consistent maintenance schedule for all Herc fleet at long-term customer sites.
• Oversee oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs and battery replacements.
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment to ensure proper operation on job sites.
• Troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems.
• Return equipment to safe working condition and document repairs.
