Job summary

Tennant Company is seeking a Field Service Technician in the United States (Madison, WI area) to diagnose, repair, and maintain Tennant equipment at customer sites. You will plan routes, coordinate with customers, and ensure timely service while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3+ years in troubleshooting engines and electrical/mechanical systems, plus a valid driver's license. Competitive benefits and a Monday–Friday schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing combustion engines (LP, Diesel or Gas).
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficient with hand and power shop tools, diagnostic devices, and basic PC/email use.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot/repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and combustion engine problems on Tennant products and similar models.
• Own your territory: plan daily schedule, contact customers, and communicate timelines, billing, and future service needs.
• Create and maintain records of all service activities and reporting documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicle, tools, parts, inventory, and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and use proper PPE.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, technical assistance, field service support, and other technicians.
