CBRE Government & Defense seeks a Service Manager to oversee day-to-day contract operations, supervise technicians, and provide hands-on leadership in the field for HVAC and mechanical systems. Qualifications

• 10+ years as a technician working with HVAC and mechanical systems.
• 10+ years performing quality control inspections of building systems and equipment.
• Current trade certification in HVAC or Mechanical Systems.
• 5+ years experience managing service technicians.
• 5+ years experience working on contracts of similar size and scope.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to work in the field alongside technicians as a working supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily contract operations and ensure work meets contract requirements.
• Work in the field with service technicians to support maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Supervise service technicians performing maintenance on HVAC, mechanical, and building systems.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and support to the crew.
• Conduct and oversee quality control inspections of building systems and equipment.
• Ensure work orders are completed accurately and on time with proper documentation.
• Coordinate schedules, manpower, materials, and subcontractor support as needed.
• Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with the PWS.
• Communicate with customers, leadership, technicians, and subcontractors about status and priorities.
• Support safety, quality, and documentation expectations across the team.
• Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while staying organized.
